Help Refugee Migrant Asylum Seekers At The Shelter

Donation protected
Since Mother’s Day, thousands of refugees have been sheltered in Deming, NM. Help us build the shelter into a peaceful entry for refugees. Our vision for the shelter is described below.

These community shelters are a peaceful place for asylum seekers that have been processed by Border Patrol. Inside the shelter, the asylum seeker is greeted by a friendly guide that welcomes them to the United States of America.

Asylum seekers are immediately screened by medical staff to provide medical and nutritional needs for the well-being of the asylum seeker. Afterward, the guide orients the asylum seeker to the shelter’s operation, its vision, and what services will be made available at the shelter.

Asylum seekers are happy to contact their sponsor and let them know they are safe. A shelter transportation employee informs the sponsor they will be receiving text message updates when the asylum seeker checks in and finally departs from the shelter. The shelter transportation employee then assists the asylum seeker with understanding the travel process to be reunified with their sponsor.

The asylum seeker is given a backpack with both essential and comfort items for their stay, and access to showers. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided at the shelter.

All day and night access to unlimited water and medical attention are amenities known and used by the asylum seeker.

Each asylum seeker is provided enough travel food to cover the length of their trip. A greeter waves goodbye to the asylum seeker, as the sponsor receives a notification that their family member is on their way home.

This our vision for the Deming Shelters, we are working together to make this vision come true, and appreciate your help.
