Jeff's Cancer fund
We are starting this go fund me account in honor of our dad to try and help out on the financial end for my parents as much as we can.
Just a little about my dad he is 60 years old, he was a star football player, baseball player and loved the high jump in track when he was in high school and he has always been a avid hunter and fisherman and a hard worker, He met my mom when she was 14 and he was 16 they fell in love and now have been married 43 years.
On December 24, 2014 my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones, he was able to get his cancer into remission for about 6 months and then the cancer returned. It spread into his lymph node system and looks to be invading his liver. He recently was having some breathing problems and had a very high heart rate while at his radiation treatment, they did not waste anytime sending him straight to the ER where he was admitted and spent a few nights going through multiple test on his heart, lungs and abdomen. They found that part of his right lung has collapsed and his heart was in afib, they performed a procedure to bring his heart rate down but was not able to get it out of afib, because of the severity of his cancer and the cancer being unresponsive to the treatments it has really knocked him down fast.
He was released from the hospital on 8/5/2017 to go home and was placed on hospice care where he will spend his remaining days.
Do to the high cost of all the medical bills even with insurance my parents have drained all of the safety net they had staked up. My dad has always been a hard worker and has provided a safe and wonderful life for my mom and us kids, my mom also was recently let go from her job do to her availability because of the amount of doctor appts and caring for my dad.
Unfortunately my dad is nearing the end of his fight with this ugly disease and my mom is going to be left with a lot of financial strain that she is no longer prepared for.
Any donations made will go to helping to eliminate financial stress on our family while we help my dad down this journey in life, it will also help to pay off remaining medical bills, mortgage payments until she is able to get things in order to sell, basic electric, water and food if needed along with funeral cost when the time comes.
I would like to thank all of you, even if you are unable to donate, thank you for taking the time to read our story, we are grateful for any prayers and positive thoughts as we travel this hard road. He will be leaving behind his dearly loved wife, his son, his daughter, along with his daughter in law and son in law along and 3 grand kids who love him dearly.
