On Sunday July 20th, I sustained an injury to my left knee, specifically a meniscus tear as revealed by MRI, after serving on Team USA at the Buhurt International World Championship in Visegrád, Hungary. I spent 2 days in the hospital in Budapest, a night in the hotel and after ~6 flights home to accommodate my big handicapped self, made it home safely with the help of some of my compatriots and friends. To those who helped, you know who you are, thank you.

As a competitive fighter for close to 8 years, and after sustaining a few injuries over that time, this injury came as no surprise at this level of competition, and for my size in particular. However, I have some expenses to finish up from the trip that have taken second priority to medical expenses, particularly an upcoming arthroscopic meniscectomy. I am also presently out of work due to being handicapped for a short time and am still unsure when I will return to the floor. My present resources were stretched thin with the overseas trip with significant baggage, and now it is a struggle to get everything handled.
