Shinnecock Front Line Worker

One of our very own "Front Line Heroes" is a Shinnecock Tribal Member, Mitch Gregoire.  Mitch is a Registered Nurse who lives in Connecticut and works in a local hospital.  Although he does not refer to himself as a hero, the rest of us do and this is how we can show our appreciation.  Mitch is the sole care giver of his 5 year old cousin Chosh, who affectionately calls Mitch "PaPa".  Mitch has had Chosh for the past 2 and a half years due to family situation while also caring for his own children(one who is special needs) and grandchildren. So Mitch is definitely a hero for lots of awesome reasons.  While Mitch is at work facing all the challenges that the Coronavirus Pandemic has thrown at our medical workers and since schools are closed due to the Coronavirus, Chosh of course is in need of more babysitting hours which finacialy is becoming very difficult.   We all know how costly child care can be along with the other living expenses. Mitch is a dedicated Father, Grandfather, Guardian and Nurse. So at this time we are asking for $2500 to help out with his childcare costs, and hopefully this will be enough to get through the Corona Crisis.  Mitch is extremely altruistic and now he sure can use a helping hand himself.  May the Great Spirit guide your heart on this matter.
