Allderdice High School Band and Orchestra Campaign
Tax deductible
Hello, our names are Christopher Corbett and Kelsey Bosley, and we are graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University studying music education. Devoted to improving the quality of arts education, we are leading a campaign to raise money for Pittsburgh Allderdice High School to purchase new instruments for their band and orchestra programs. We are collaborating with Allderdice and the Alumni and Friends of Allderdice (www.allderdicealumni.com), a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity, to organize a fundraising campaign through GoFundMe. All of the proceeds will benefit Allderdice's High School band and orchestra program.
Instrumental students need quality instruments that will encourage their growth as musicians, whether they are beginners or more experienced, and help them achieve their full potential in their performances. Although appreciative of the instruments that have served generations of students, Brian Lee (Allderdice ‘98) (CMU ‘03), Allderdice’s instrumental music director, is looking forward to retiring several “family heirlooms” in place of finer instruments.
With the support of our community, we hope to surpass our ambitious goal of $10,000 that will go toward the purchase of string instruments and saxophones. Please consider helping us by:
1. Donating to the campaign through GoFundMe (donors will receive confirmation from “PayPal Giving Fund”) or by mailing checks, made out to "Alumni and Friends of Allderdice" with "Instrumental campaign" in the memo to:
Alumni and Friends of Allderdice
2409 Shady Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15217
Please send checks along with this form (please click on the underlined phrase "this form" to access the document). Donors will receive confirmation from the Alumni and Friends of Allderdice.
2. Sharing our campaign with your friends and colleagues!
This generous gift will guide young artists to developing a greater appreciation and deeper love for music. A thriving music program enriches a school by enhancing creativity, self-expression and companionship among students that arts advocates must continue to support.
Thank you for your time; I hope to see you working alongside our goal!
