Sprocket Web App

Tax deductible

The Cola Town Bike Collective  won the Central Carolina Community Foundation’s  Connected Community grant to build a first-of-its-kind web application to connect the midlands by building a modular,
scalable network of routes based on users comfort levels.

Welcome to Sprocket!

Sprocket is a database of hand-selected routes that are will be accessible from any web-enabled device that would allow people to quickly pull up a map and navigate by bicycle. We are also building the functionality to “Call out” cycle friendly businesses, our 10 repair stations in the Midlands, bike racks, and potentially the new bike share locations.

Using over 30 years cumulative riding experience in Columbia, our members have curated our favorite routes based on comfort level. Additionally, the app will have call outs to the best areas of town for just fun rides for people of all ages.

We have the app almost totally funded, but we need your help! We are up against a deadline of September 15th to raise the remaining matching funds, which will be used to market and sustain the application.

With your help, we will be able to launch Sprocket and open up the Midlands to everyone to enjoy!
