Sprint for St. Jude's

"The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay."

Danny Thomas was a good friend of my grandfather's so St. Jude's foundation and Children's hospital has always been something that I was aware of. I've worked with Ed's Tavern in Saddle Brook, NJ on countless occasions raising money for this group, and having the opportunity to do so again is a great feeling.  

Kyle and I have been working hard getting ready for the Hammonton Lake Memorial Day Sprint Triathlon and in doing so we decided that raising money for such a great organization would only help push us harder. Myself being a new father, and Kyle as an expectant father we felt that it was prudent to choose an organization that focused on Children's health as it is so relevant to our lives now. 

God willing, St. Jude's Hospital will never be part of either of our lives (or yours) but knowing that something this good and pure exists for the benefit of children has always reminded me that there are good people in this world willing to help those who cannot help themselves.
