Spring Training Showcase in Florida

Dear Family, Friends, Coaches, and Supporters,

I am writing to you as a proud member of SUNY Cortland’s Club Softball team. We belong to the National Club Softball Association and as an organization, this season we will be playing in fast pitch softball competitions against other schools and universities in our conference. Besides our local competition like Syracuse University, Ithaca College, and Cornell University, we are looking to expand our horizons and experience competing against other schools outside of our conference. Each spring, the NCSA hosts a Spring Training tournament located in Tampa, Florida which would be such a great opportunity to compete against teams at a higher level than what we are used to.

As a team, we are asking for your support towards helping us fund our journey to Tampa, Florida. This Spring Training showcase will allow us to grow tremendously as a competitive team and any support is much appreciated, whether that is through money donations, supporting our team, or following our progress through our team website. Since our program is only one of thirty-six sports clubs in the SUNY Cortland Recreational Sports Department, our team does not receive a large enough portion of available funds to appropriately fund a trip of this magnitude. In order to participate in this showcase, it is our responsibility to raise supplemental funding to pay for our travel, hotel, food, and league expenses.

Please be assured that 100% of your contributions will be used to fund our appearance in the Spring Training Showcase. For those who have donated in previous years, we cannot thank you enough because you have truly made a difference to our team. We would not be the team we are today if it wasn’t for people like you who surround us with such an amazing support system. We promise to work hard and continue to make you proud!
