Your donation is important because it allows us to provide truly meaningful opportunities for children and adults to express themselves through the arts. Thank you! Here are just a few examples of how your gift is put to work.
Our Art with HeART summer program with Miss Shaye McHatten is soon to enter its third season in partnership with the Presque Isle Housing Authority (PIHA). FREE to all PIHA-neighborhood children, this program creates relationship-enriching experiences through the visual arts. Students bond one-on-one and in a group setting with volunteer teenage mentors.
Registration for PIHA residents is paid by PIHA. Through your generosity, we are able to provide this program for less than $1.50 per student hour.
With your help, we are also able to offer creative, dynamic, friendship-building, affordable After School and Summer Arts Programs from $2.00 to $5.00 per student hour. Your gift enables us to offer full scholarships too! For $25 per month ($300 per year), you can provide a child with arts programming for an entire year.

In 2016, Wintergreen launched Under the Willow Tree, a Creative Preschool. Here's what one parent is saying.
"Liam's progress at Under the Willow Tree has been above and beyond our wildest dreams! We are so thankful for the welcoming staff, engaging curriculum, and the dear little friends Liam has made. He looks forward to school every day and we are more confident than ever about his transition to [public] school."

Each month we feature a unique artist during Presque Isle's First Friday Downtown Art Walk. Exhibits are free and open to the public for the entire month. Photographer Maeghan Swanson helped us recognize Autism Awareness Month in April with her exhibit, "Autistic Faces of Aroostook County."

"This project was a dream I had years ago, something I wanted to try, but was not quite brave enough to pitch to anyone, often doubting my vision and ideas. When I finally worked up the courage to approach this with Wintergreen Arts Center, they embraced the idea and without knowing, gave me the confidence I needed to move forward."
