The Sustainable Farm - The Garden

Imagine sustainable communities strategically placed all across our nation. Imagine no worries when traveling because you know there’s a place close by that you can call home that will feed, clothe, and house you up. Imagine a group of people that you can call family and trust with your heart and soul. Imagine a place your children, and your children's children can safely come, play, and learn. Imagine a place where art, music, and food is to be made and love is all around.
The Garden is an off-grid 21-acre sustainable, egalitarian, community whos main purpose is to help others. After 8 long years we've come so far, and we have that much further to go. The Garden is a place where individuals, couples, and families can come together to live and learn, and where travelers can get off the road and share ideas and stories. We are certified with WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). We are affiliated with the non-for profit group The People's Project and their misson. We've built community cabins, converted schoolbuses into living quarters. We've built a fully functional kitchen and dining hall. We have a fully stocked library, and a schoolhouse almost finished. We have playgrounds. We have a closed in showerhouse. We have plenty of garden space and a fruiting orchard. We have a new stage to enjoy live music around a bonfire. We have buses going around the country feeding people and helping with disaster relief efforts. We are apart of an amazing network of like minded people and we are reaching out.
We run on donations and what abundance our land can provide. We are in need of organic seeds to cultivate and create our own heirloom organic seed bank for the next generations. We always need gardening tools to keep our gardens growing and producing. With all this said our main priority is a reliable farm truck to help with hauling building material, firewood, livestock needs, produce, and rescue missions. We are super busy feeding the revolution and keeping our land going. We need a farm truck to keep this mission alive.
We hold numerous events like our annual Spring Gathering starting April 15th. We're planning to have workshops on sustainable living, organic farming, nonviolent communication, and much much more. We have a lot of planting opportunities this year, such as plans for planting a new orchard, planting and harvesting for the National Rainbow Gathering in Georgia. As well as planting to provide healthy organic meals around the clock. We are always looking for individuals working towards the mission to help. Your help counts even if it seems like it’s not a lot! Every dollar you donate and every minute of your time will go towards creating sustainable life for the children of our future.
