Spring break vida trip to Guatemala

Hello!

My name is Abby Jacobs and I am currently a sophomore biology major with both a psychology and hispanic studies minors studying pre-medicine at the College of Saint Benedict. This coming spring break,  my school and Vida, a volunteer organization, are working together to put on a medical and dental mission trip to Guatemala specifically designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the medical and dental fields. This experience will allow me to work one on one with individuals who need medical or dental attention. I believe this mission trip will be an eye opening experience for me because it will allow me to help the less fortunate, view life from a different perspective than my own, and give me extremely beneficial experience in the medical field. I have spoken to many older students who have attended this trip in the past and have heard how it has impacted their lives immensely.  I would love to experience this opportunity and have my life changed, as a result. This won't only impact me forever, but it will impact the mothers, fathers, grandparents, and children I heal and their families, as well. Unfortunately because of cost, I am unable to make this dream of mine come true without the help from my family and friends. Your donations will allow me to pay for airfare and the program fee to have the funds by December to participate in March. Your support would mean the world to me because it would show that you believe in me,and hope someday I will actually be a doctor and make the lives of society better everyday. I would be forever grateful for your support and donations in hope that I will be able to experience this opportunity of a lifetime and impact people's lives for the better.
