I’ve always wondered why bad things happen to good people. This family is a prime example of “why”? Troy, Kristina, Trevor, Brady, Hayden and Halle make their home in Platte SD. The Sprik’s are very family oriented and life revolves around their children. (Football, Baseball, Basketball, Track, and Cheer) as well as supporting other kids who mean a lot to them. Their faith remains strong and know that God has his own plans.
I’ve set this page up with the hopes it will relieve a small about of worry for the Sprik family. As many of you are aware the Sprik’s have had their fair share of trying situations in 2017. Troy was in a very bad semi accident 6 months to the day of Brady’s wreck. Both Sprik men are very fortunate with the injuries they did sustain. However, lost wages and medical bills will be mounting up. Brady has broken ribs, broken teeth, very swollen face and eyes. He has multiple fractures in his back. The most concerning injury is not being able to move his legs. He does have sensation of being touched. Lots of prayers needed for his legs to move. They’ve repaired the brakes in his back. He has screws and plates in place which are on the left and right side of number 3, 4, 6, and 7 lumbar and then also on the left side of number 5... They put rods in place on the spine. He’s been in good spirits despite all he’s been through. Nothing is more reassuring as the smile on his face. Doctors have informed them Brady could be in the hospital at a minimum of 4 weeks. Not to mention the driving to and from doctor appointments, physical therapy in the months ahead. Troy and Kristina also have Trevor, Hayden and Halle at home. Their activities will be in full force too. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Many have asked how they can help the family.
