Spread the Love-ManjushreeOrphanage

Tax deductible
"Oh my love, you've got to get out and serve, and then you will know how it feels to be in heaven on earth."  I love this powerful statement from Jai Jagdeesh's song Hold Your Hand  from her Walls Coming Down Album .

Please join us in spreading the love and raising $10,000 for the Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage with the Sat Nam Foundation.  We are so grateful to be contributing to this amazing cause.  Thank you so much for taking time to read about our service project.  We appreciate you.

Being of service is important to Kirpal (Keith Baruch) and I (Kamal Amrit (Heather Baruch)), owners of Taspen's Organics, Taspen's Healing Center, Taspen's Cosmic Kitchen & Dragonfly Botanicals. We have been waiting for the perfect non-profit to show up and it happened in April of 2018 at the Sat Nam Festival West in Joshua Tree, CA when we heard Michael Jai Dev speaking about the Sat Nam Foundation and the service work they are sharing around the world.  We have been donating to the Sat Nam Foundation since then as our hearts were in alignment with the work they are doing that is incredibly powerful and completely based in love.

We are currently working with the Sat Nam Foundation and Gurmukh to support Manjushree School and Orphanage in India. It is a wonderful cause to support and we are so grateful to be connected with them and the amazing work they are doing on the planet. If you are called and are able to, please support us in donating and/or share this with your contacts to help us raise $10,000 in which all of the money raised will be going directly to Manjushree.  Our mission is to empower the orphanage with autonomous systems of water, a kitchen for sanitary food preparation, and clothing as well as to support them with medical needs.

Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage

Deep in the Himalayas of Northeastern India, a Buddhist monk cares for 300+ children.

In 1998 Lama Thupten Phuntsok founded Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage. The orphanage began with just 17 children, and houses, feeds, and educated more than 300. As their numbers grow, so do their needs.

Here is a video of the children at Manjushree .

Manjushree Orphanage is one of the most remote orphanages in the world. It is a 2.5 day jeep ride from the nearest airport, and due to snow, the roads are only passable for a few months every year. As a monk, Lama Thupten relies on the goodwill of humanity for support. The orphanage is not receiving sufficient aid.. Manjushree is overcrowded and cannot accept all those who need help.

Children are dying of malnutrition, disease, and accidents.

Lama Thupten Phuntsok’s  vision of Manjushree Vidyapith is:
-To provide a home and close-knit loving family for orphans, physically disabled or destitute children of the Tawang district.
-To provide a modern education and sound moral values.
-To inspire the young people to act with a good heart, to become leaders in their communities, and to help bring peace to the world.

Twelve years ago, Gurmukh Khalsa and Lama Thupten met in transit at an airport. Inspired by the humility of the monk, Gurmukh traveled to the Tawang district to visit the orphanage. Since the first meeting, she knew it was destiny for her to support these children and the vision of the monk.

Over the years, she has supported Manjushree with medical support and basic needs. As the number of children continues to grow, Gurmukh feels it is time to support them with more. She reached out to Sat Nam Foundation on the summer solstice with the proposition to work together to create infrastructure and sustainable plans for the orphanage.

On March 26th, Kirtan-Christina Tracey, will travel with Gurmukh and a group of 5 other yogis to Manjushree. We will caravan together from Guwahati airport. The drive into the mountains is approximately 2 days. We will spend approximately one week at the orphanage meeting the Lama and children, and co-creating a project together.

We intend to leave a representative of Sat Nam Foundation at Manjushree for 4-6 months to serve as a liaison and our link to the project. Our mission is to empower the orphanage with autonomous systems of water, food, and clothing as well as to support them with medical needs and infrastructure.

Gurmukh is devoting the next 25 years of her life to this project. We invite you to join Gurmukh, Kirtan-Christina, our Taspen's Family and the team at Sat Nam Foundation as we embark on the journey to be of service to Manjushree Vidyapith!

Here is a video from Gurmukh about this project.  and a link to the Sat Nam Foundation website.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life to read this and consider supporting this project.

With love, light, gratitude, and blessings...
