Spread a little happiness - Haiti

I have never done anything like this before so please bare with me. With the whole world looking a bit uneasy at the minute and most of the media (both mainstream and social) focusing  on the hate in the world (terrorism), i thought it would be a good idea to do something positive about it. this came to me as a nice thought but all too often this is where it ends. not in this case.

I had read somewhere that Haiti is the most poverty stricken country in the western world. Natural disasters, politics and corruption have made it a very bad place to be born.
So its this simple, push myself to the limits and in return hopefully raise money. With this money i will visit Haiti ( funded myself) later this year and spend every penny of the fundraised amount with local charities and local people showing you exactly who and where we have helped. Not planning on changing the whole world, but possibly maybe a people's worlds. We always hear of global charities spending stupid amounts of  money on admin and little reaching the intended destination and so i want to cut this out.

I will start training intesnsely on 06/07/17 @ 102kgs and participate in the Dublin Ironman 70.3 Race on August 20th. 1.3 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and 13.1 mile run.

To date ive swam 8 consecutive lengths of a 33metre pool, cycled 14 miles with two stops and ran no more than 3.2 miles in one go.

I must empahasise i will be massively under prepared and so with this being said the chance of failure is very much possible but i will give it my all.

Thank you in advance for any support, abuse and most of all donations. We will see what difference we can  make somewhere that needs it most.

Thank you,
