SCORE FOR AFRICA. My name is Alexandra Masterson, I am currently a high school student and I created an organization to support the acquisition of sports equipment for underprivileged children in South Africa. I organize fundraisers, such as our most recent event where we partnered with multiple businesses to hold an athletic competition/workout and spread awareness to increase donations for the cause. All proceeds were hand delivered July 2018 to Sport4Kids, a South African organization that created an ambassador program to fund sports activities while focusing on distributing equipment to schools and clubs in need. The organization displays lists of teams, individuals, schools, and clubs who benefit from the donations, as well as describing their ambassador program where primary school students interact and coach the children in need through clinics. July 2018, I traveled to Heathfield Primary School in South Africa, and hand delivered the donations, toured the school, met faculty and the headmaster,. interacted with the children, and personalized their experience.
