WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!
I'm thrilled to introduce you to my foundation, Sport & Education in Africa (SEAF), which launched in August 2024.
I was born in Côte d'Ivoire and have lived in various countries where I saw real poverty. I realised how lucky I am to have had opportunities to grow up in a healthy and sporting environment and to have passed this privilege into my children. And I still want to help children who don't have many opportunities to go to school and finish their education, and to grow up healthy on sport fields – because every child deserves a chance to succeed!.
I've been playing tennis since I was young, and I'm now working closely with Gambian coaches and the Gambian Tennis Federation, which has the fantastic Saul Frazer as President!

We have two amazing goals:
- We want to promote access to and participation for all children in tennis. Let's focus on all the amazing things this incredible sport can bring into our lives! From making friends, learning discipline, experiencing joy, improving our health, and feeling the rush of victory, to learning how to deal with deception.
- Encouraging the development of education, ensuring that children have access to school and higher education.
We were absolutely thrilled to see that the National Geographic published an article that came at just the right time for us. You can find it for reading: "Why some say tennis is 'the world's healthiest sport' .
I've been sending boxes with clothes, shoes, sports equipment, even bikes and so much more to the Gambia since 2020. All donations from friends and members of various sports clubs. I started SEAF because I'm passionate about making this initiative bigger and more professional. I'm thrilled to have the support of the Dutch Tennis Federation (KNLTB), many tennis and football players in the Amsterdam area, and the amazing Richard Patterson (cinematographer and steadicam operator @ Four Bent Corners) and finally of Saul. I believe with such a team we can make a difference.
