<div>We are Mixology A Cappella Chorus (mixologyacappella.com), a passionate, mixed-voice, inclusive, auditioned ensemble based in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. We are made up of singers from musical theatre, bands, diverse performance backgrounds, and regular people who simply love to sing and harmonize.

<div><strong>Mixology first formed in 2018 with a goal: </strong>to become one of Canada’s top-scoring mixed a cappella choruses and win the right to represent Canada at the world competition, Bing! Musikfestival in Germany. We were very proud to accomplish that goal after a lot of hard work, performances, practices, and competition. But then, one week from boarding flights when then the global pandemic shut the world down. Bing! was cancelled along with just about everything else.

<div><strong>We’ve done something extraordinary: </strong>we’ve won this opportunity again! This year, we have won another chance, a second, incredible opportunity: Mix has been invited to March at Bing! Musikfestival 2026 (BMF2026) in Wuppertal, Germany. Some of the best mixed a cappella ensembles from around the world will come together to compete, connect, and sing together. (worldmixed.org)

<div><strong>The first event we ever performed at was the opening ceremonies of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. </strong>Our very first sponsor was the Schwaben Club. We have the chance to build bridges between our community and the global a cappella family, to bring home stories and music that connect people.

Over the years, we’ve performed at festivals, concerts, community events, in musicals, and at private functions. Mix sings a wide range of genres and voicings from jazz and pop to musical theatre and barbershop.
