Those who understand the power of education who wish to enhance the experiences of young people who aspire to pursue a career in the field of medicine are needed.
My daughter, Camille Reindorf was nominated to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum: Advanced Medicine and Health Care program in summer of 2019 at John Hopkins University. This is a great opportunity for Camille to do hands-on experimentation and attend workshops by medical professionals in various disciplines. Since, the age of 6, Camille has dreamed to be a pediatrician and still holds onto that aspiration today as a Junior in high school.
The tuition charged by Envision Leadership is about $3,945 to cover the 10-day stay on campus, all meals, classes and transportation. We can cover a portion of it, but need additional assistance. We do not want finances to be a roadblock of Camille participating in this opportunity.
Camille's high school accolades and activities include:
* NEW: Received acceptance/scholarship to participate in the PATHWAY's Intro to Stem Cell Research program - June 2019 (stemcellpath.com).
* President of the ASL Club 2018-19, Member of ASL Club 2016-2018
* Scholar Athlete awards in volleyball; 2016-17 and 2017-18
* Annually volunteers with Door of Hope and Midnight Mission shelters
* Team member of the Maranatha Fresh/Sophmore Volleyball team (2 yrs)
* Member of the Maranatha Medicine/Health club (2018-19)
* Dancer on the Maranatha High School Dance Company - participated in Winter and Spring performances (2 yrs)
* Participated in a Missions trip to New Orleans, LA to help rebuild area impacted by Hurricane Katrina (Summer 2017)
* Class assistant with the Pasadena Education Foundation summer learning series - Robotics class. Addressing students needs, assisting with robotic coding and repairing broken robots (2016, 2017, 2018) pasedfoundation.org
* Current Cumulative GPA of 3.8
