Recently, in a vibrant concert of Sona Jobarteh I heard about the Gambia Academy, a project launched by Sona to educate children. It merges the study of traditional music and culture with modern education, empowering and inspiring the next generation of leaders.

This initiative needs our support and we can all contribute to it by sponsoring a student for an entire school year. The scholarship covers daily transport, food, uniforms, music lessons, and all learning materials; all for 840 USD (~753€). While that amount might seem too much for you alone, together we can easily reach it!
Note that as I am starting this campaing from an EU country, I must select EURO as currency, but the actual payment to the Gambia Academy will be in USD. As the convertion rate can change and to assure you that I will not have any profit from this campaing, I set the goal to 700€.
