We realize the shut down for many businesses will be the end for them, we hope to not be part of that statistic. We also realize the graveness of the stuation. We accept that the events that support our family and our animals may not happen for the next year. Even when the restrictions ease, the events that we rely on for survival will not be in existence.
In these uncertain times, the animals still need to eat and be cared for. They still need vet care, farrier, feed, daily care, we have staff to pay. Just as we were gearing up for our busy Easter Season, the pandemic hit. We are applying for all small business relief we can, but the process is slow and we don't know when/ if funds will arrive.
Our goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, mini horses, alpacas have been with us many many years. many of these animals are rescues and help pay their way by providing educational events to inner city kids. Some of these animals, such as Rita, our 42 year old donkey would not stand a chance in another home. Some of our goats and sheep would simply become dinner if they were sold. We have re-homed the ones that we could to excellent pet homes. We hope to be able to continue to provide services when this is all over, and keep our animals in the utmost perfect health and happiness during this unprecedented time.
