Sponsor 2 science teachers at Uganda High School & Orphanage

Hi, I’m Darcey and I am raising money for a new secondary school in rural Uganda to pay for two science teachers for a year. These teachers earn just a hundred pounds a month each.

The school incorporates an orphanage with more than 50 smart and motivated orphans (street children). The other pupils pay fees so that the school is not overly reliant on external support. The school offers all pupils a safe space to develop into confident and competent people. But for now they still need some help as three years ago there was just shrubbery where the school stands now and the orphans lived on the streets.

I will visit the school in January, paying my own way using money I have earned. I am really excited about this project also because it is led by Ugandans in partnership with individual supporters from outside the country.

I‘ll share my journey and impressions with anyone who is interested and supports me.
