Spirit of Tao Year of Horse

Our goal for creating this fundraiser was to raise some money to kickstart our 2014 Wandering Taoist Teaching Tour. The first $1795 of donations we received specifically for this goal went towards our $5000 expense to buy & rebuild Hiimori (our wind horse/1986 Toyota Motorhome).
On June 5, 2014 and after 12 years in Oregon, we left our home in the forest and closed our school to teach across the country.

Now that we are on the road and the first part of our fundraiser is complete, we have transitioned to the second part (as originally stated) and that is focusing on going abroad to continue teaching the art and especially... To apprentice at tea farms in Mainland China & Taiwan to continue our studies in the art of growing and making gong fu tea.

We have actually been invited to one of our tea farms in Taiwan to attend their first Tea Culture gathering of teachers. Someone from each country will be represented..Korea, mainland China, Japan, etc. We are very fortunate and grateful to receive this personal invitation and are excited for what lies ahead.

We learned of GoFundMe.com recently and felt this is a proper method for modern people to offer a "bowl of rice and warm bed" to Taoist practitioners as they spread the teaching of "The Way of Virtue". Eventually we will re-open a new teaching center in the "Camilla Belt".
