Pastor Darryl's [ALL IN] Marathon

Spirit Church shares love, joy, and peace in our community.  We desparately need a new facility. Construction has started and we can see the finish line.  Would you help Pastor Darryl cross the finish line?

He is running a marathon to symbolize the race God has asked our church to run.

For 3 years, our entire church has been [ALL IN].  We can see the finish line.  We need your help.  Read this message from Pastor Darryl and Faith...

In 1991, I heard this phrase from a missionary, “Unless you’re giving 100%, you are not really living by faith.”  That seed planted in my heart.

In 2014, our church was dreaming about touching another percentage of our city for Jesus.  The dream was so big that we would need a new facility.  We asked our congregation to go [ALL IN] with 100% obedience to the Spirit’s leading.   Faith and I knew what God was calling us to.  It would be a marathon journey of faith.

We informed Spirit Church that our [ALL IN] commitment would be to live by 100% faith.  We would not take a salary for an entire year.   We got our house ready to sell. Faith learned to make our own laundry detergent and bread.

Our garden was a blessing from heaven.  Strangers showed up at our door with groceries.  We experienced hundreds of miracles as God taught us to trust in him.  We truly lived by faith.

At the end of that year, we were rejoicing.  However, our church encountered several roadblocks with the new building plans.  I was frustrated. The Lord whispered, “What if you stayed on this journey of faith but did not tell anyone?”  How could I do that?  At least people were praying for us.

In Deuteronomy 8:2, God revealed that he tested the Israelites in the wilderness “to know what was in your heart.” God just wanted to see what was in our hearts.  God proved himself faithful again.  God called us to step out of the boat.

My whole family walked on “water.” We kept our eyes on Jesus and His provision carried us.  Our marathon journey lasted 777 days.  The same week our “faith journey” ended, construction equipment arrived on our site and we were able to sell a piece of property that we had prayed about for years!

For two years, my family walked on water.  This year, I heard the Lord say “Run.”  I did not know what that meant.  I just started running.  I have never been a runner, but I am committed to run a marathon. I’m simply going on a journey that symbolizes the dream God placed on our church.  I can’t wait to cross the finish line – physically and spiritually.

Would you help me get to the finish line? Would you partner with us?

We need a miracle to finish our building. We have been meeting in a gymnasium for over 3 years. We need a new facility. Go [ALL IN].  Step out of your boat.  I promise, God is faithful.

In the last 6 weeks, we have seen 53 people saved.  Many have been called to missions, healed, and set free. We can see the finish line of this [ALL IN] dream.

Would you pray for me?
Would you consider sponsoring me per mile on this 26.2 mile marathon?
Would you share with you friends?

Thank you so much for your prayers and support!

God bless you!
