Spina Bifida Strong

Baby Kendrick has been diagnosed with Spina Bifida. This means that he could potentially have issues with the motor skills in his lower extremities, neurological function, and incontinence. Kendrick will have to have at least one surgery to enclose the opening on his back (part of his spinal cord is only covered by a thin membrane). He may also need additional surgery to put in a shunt and to correct any additional issues that may arise. He will also need to be in physical therapy to help strengthen his legs. Although we still don’t know exactly how life will be for Kendrick, we do know that he has a ton of support from his friends and family to help keep him strong.
