Expenses will include; computers, sound board, IP address, website, licensing fees, promotions, office supplies, and a whole bunch of other stuff it takes to run such thing.
It would initially be an automated music mix(I'd like to start with 2,000 songs and keep growing) scheduled along the same parameters as I did with middays and overnights. I'd add a daily 2-5 minute podcast with something relevant to the music at hand. As the project grows and I can afford to upgrade I'll add live broadcasts they way I did afternoons as well as some locally produced long form programs and perhaps even national stuff . You'd be able to get the station the same way you get any other online station. We'll be able to sustain the project when I am able to provide affordable advertising for local music venues and businesses.
The goal is to bring YOU great music. You want it and you need it. We've spent a lot of time together and I never liked asking you for anything. This venture is very expensive and I've been very leery about attempting this. The people have spoken. You want me to do this. I will. To the best of my ability I will. I can't do it without your support. All the monies will go to the project object. I will take a small percentage for my time and effort. I think that is fair. This will not be a not for profit. It's a business. Advertising, merchandise and continued donations(think of it as a sunscription)will keep it alive and growing. If it doesn't work out all residual monies will go to a local charity. BUT! It will work, but only with your support. Are you with me? Love,-SG
