<div>Die kleine Melek ist gerade einmal fünf Jahre alt – und kämpft schon ihr ganzes Leben lang. Sie leidet am seltenen Phelan-McDermid-Syndrom, einem Gendefekt, der ihre Entwicklung stark beeinträchtigt und für den es in Deutschland derzeit keine geeigneten Therapiemöglichkeiten gibt.

<div>Doch es gibt Hoffnung: In der Türkei erhält Melek eine spezielle Therapie, die bereits erste, wertvolle Fortschritte gezeigt hat. Kleine Schritte, die für andere selbstverständlich sind, bedeuten für Melek und ihre Familie die Welt.

<div>Leider werden die Behandlungskosten nicht von der Krankenkasse übernommen. Die Therapie muss vollständig privat finanziert werden – eine enorme Belastung für die Familie.

<div>Besonders dringend ist die Zeit: Diese Therapie kann nur bis zu Meleks 6. Lebensjahr ihre volle Wirkung entfalten. Jeder Tag zählt.
