Hallo Zusammen, 
 
mein Name ist Maren und wohne in Wanne-Eickel. 

Am Sonntag Abend (17.08.2025) ist meine Oma verstorben im Alter von 91 Jahren. 
 
Da meine Oma leider an Krebs erkrankt ist (Darmkrebs, Brustkrebs und seit 2021 auch ein Sarkom das an ihrem Hals saß) konnten wir ihr in den letzten sechs Wochen nicht mehr die Unterstützung geben, die sich brauchte und auch verdient hat, kam sie in das Lukas Hospiz in Herne. 
 
Und ich möchte an dieser Stelle einfach erwähnen welch ein wunderbaren Job das Team in Herne durchführt. Obwohl dieser Job sehr viel Nerven, Kraft und vor allem Hingabe braucht, war dort jeder Mitarbeiter zu jeder Zeit immer hilfsbereit, freundlich, empathisch. 
 
Auch das jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter nach Hause geht und mit seinen Gedanken allein ist, hat für mich den größten Respekt verdient. 

Denn schließlich lernen sie die Bewohner kennen, sie bauen ein Vertrauensverhältnis auf, man geht auf jeden einzelnen Wunsch ein. Und das immer und immer wieder. 

Wir dürfen nicht vergessen, die Bewohner kommen um zu sterben. 
 
Das alles was ich an positiven Dingen im Lukas Hospiz erlebt habe, kann ich gar nicht in Worte fassen. Es war einfach jede Kleinigkeit. 
 
Dafür möchte ich einfach Danke sagen. 

Meine Oma war in den besten Händen.
