<div>Im Aikido verbinden sich Konzentration, innere Ruhe und Ausgeglichenheit mit Präzision, Dynamik, Kraft und Eleganz. Das oberste Aikido-Prinzip ist immer Gewaltlosigkeit.

<div>Über die Aikido-Techniken selbst hinaus lernt man in Alexanders Aikido-Schule sicheres Gleichgewicht, gute Koordination, schnelle Reaktion, gute Haltung und Selbstdisziplin auch in schwierigen Situationen. Wer höhere Grade in der gewaltlosen Kampfkunst erwerben möchte, wird individuell auf die anspruchsvollen Prüfungen vorbereitet. Und auch außerhalb des Trainings ist Alexander für seine Mitglieder da.

<div>Aikido verbindet nicht nur auf der Matte, sondern auch darüber hinaus.

<div>Doch braucht die Schule auch gute äußere Bedingungen, und das ist zunächst einmal eine brauchbare Trainingshalle, japanisch ein Dojo. In der derzeitigen Halle, die Alexander in den letzten zehn Jahren mietweise mitbenutzt hat, ist nun das Dach undicht geworden. Sie ist nicht mehr haltbar. Für die Aikido-Schule werden eine große Mattenfläche, hinreichend geräumige Umkleiden, hygienische Duschen, ein einladender Gemeinschaftsraum für Besprechungen und gemeinsame Dojo-Abende, vor allem aber sehr viele Trainingszeiten in der Halle selbst gebraucht. Angesichts des wachsenden Erfolgs möchte sich Alexander darum nicht mehr erneut auf ein beschränkt brauchbares Provisorium einlassen, sondern selbst eine Halle bauen, die in allem ganz auf die Bedürfnisse der Aikido-Schule eingerichtet ist.

<div>Und es gibt auch schon ein geeignetes Grundstück nahe der Stadtmitte von Greifswald, das von der Stadt Greifswald zum Bau der Aikido-Schule erworben wurde: Ein Ort, an dem Aikido gelebt wird. Ein Ort der Begegnungen. Ein Ort für Freundschaften. Ein Ort, an dem die Aikido Schule endlich ein sicheres Zuhause hat.
