A tragedy happened early Sunday April 9th when Jacob Spencer, his mother (Lynda Spencer) and little sister were woken by a SWAT team demanding an acquaintance (Johnnie Ryder) of theirs come out of their home.
The night before, Johnnie Ryder and his girlfriend, someone who Jacob knew from high school, came to his home asking for a place to stay claiming his mother had kicked him out of the house. Out of the kindness of their hearts Jacob and Lynda allowed them to stay the night.
They were not aware that Johnnie was wanted for the murder of an elderly couple.
Johnnie refused to come out and locked himself in the bathroom. As Jacob, Lynda and his little sister escaped from their home, SWAT had no other choice but to break in and find their suspect.
Plenty of damage was done to their home including busted doors, broken furniture and a therapy table. Johnnie Ryder, in an attempt to take his life, used up all of Lynda Spencer's pain medication she uses for her disability.
The Spencers are staying at a hotel and currently are not financially capable of relocating until they can recoup their losses and move on and would appreciate it so much if anyone could reach out and help a family in their time of need.
