<div>Wij zijn Joshua (19) en Deborah (19), aangenaam kennis te maken. Eind januari 2023 zijn wij vanuit Nederland vertrokken om vrijwilligerswerk te doen. We zijn momenteel werkend bij kindertehuis 'The Chosen Generation'. Een tehuis waarin sterke, prachtige kinderen met elk een heftige achtergrond wonen. Op het moment wonen 40 kinderen (vanaf 4 jaar t/m 19 jaar) in het tehuis. 'The Chosen Generation' is een halfjaar geleden opgericht en kan dus nog veel hulp gebruiken. Wij gunnen deze kinderen een omgeving waarin zij zich veilig kunnen voelen, hun energie kwijt kunnen en bovenal een omgeving waarin zij zich optimaal kunnen ontwikkelen.

<div>Naast het tehuis ligt een grasveld vol plastic en glas wat we momenteel druk aan het opruimen zijn, waarbij de kinderen vol enthousiasme meehelpen. Ons doel is om van het grasveld een veilige speelplaats te maken , waar de kinderen hun energie kwijt kunnen.

<div>De kosten van het speelveldje zullen in totaal 3000 euro bedragen inclusief kiepwagen en personeel:

<li>2 trucks opvulzand: 2000 euro
</li>
<li>1 trucks baanzand: 1000 euro
</li>
</ul>
<div>Hiernaast zouden we de muren rondom het veldje verschillende kleuren willen schilderen, om de speelplaats kindvriendelijker te maken. Ook willen we er goaltjes neerzetten, zodat de kinderen kunnen voetballen. Hieraan zijn natuurlijk ook kosten verbonden.

<div>Daarnaast mist het tehuis veel basisbenodigdheden, omdat het nog maar net van de grond is. Het overige bedrag zullen we daarom besteden aan basisbenodigdheden zoals prullenbakken en kasten etc. Ook willen we graag de kamertjes van de kinderen wat gezelliger maken door ze een likje verf te geven.
