Goat Barn For Disabled Baby Goats

Hi, my name is Rhonda and I am the founder of this special place called Bella View Farm Animal Sanctuary, a place that's near and dear to my heart....well actually it IS my heart and I have to tell you that we are in need of a barn to accommodate the special needs wheelchair goats that live here at the sanctuary.

To give you an idea of what we do here, we rescue "disabled" farm animals and give them a second chance to live a happy, full life. We provide them with care, healing, and a loving forever home. We have a variety of farm animals that are "special" in one way or another. From an emu with crooked feet, disabled chickens, goats in wheelchairs, and goats with prostheses.

Our disabled animals and wheelchair goats are in desperate need of a barn/house that can accommodate their needs.

The special needs barn would be home to the numerous disabled goats, with a sleeping area, and enough room for their daily therapy that is needed. Our disabled goats sleep in cushioned cribs at night to prevent them from dragging or scooting across the floor and creating sores or additional issues. These cribs are currently in my home. The goat house would have electricity to provide heat for the winter and fans for the summer.

We have 12 disabled goats, that require the use of a wheelchair or prosthesis to get around. 10 of which currently reside in my house.

Special needs babies don't handle excessive heat or cold very well, and honestly, I feel that they have been through enough in their little lives and their happiness and comfort is a top priority. That's why this will not be just any old barn.

To be able to accomplish this for our residents would be such an amazing gift for them., as well as me.

The barn will be 3 sections. A pre-cut kit that we will build ourselves. We will do 2 sections first. The main part and an enclosed annex. Another annex will be added later. The main center is 24x36. The enclosed annex is 10x36. We are getting overhead doors, and we plan on making that a solid wall.

Peach-attacked by a wild animal and left paralyzed

Leigha-born with severe valgus and flexoral deformity

Val-born without back hooves

Thor, born with an abnormal cerebellum

We believe in bringing awareness to the fact that just because they are disabled doesn't mean they are any less deserving to live a full and happy life.

Animals that are severely handicapped, needing 24/7 care. These are the souls that are welcomed with kindness and compassion to our farm to live out the rest of their days. We not only give them a happy life but a quality of life that is filled with love.

It's amazing to watch these beautiful souls heal and live life when the right care and environment are provided for them

We truly believe that these are the precious ones that deserve a chance. They are the special ones that touch your heart. The ones that struggled to come into this world.
