Spartans Invitational Equipment

Hello Leander Spartans Supporters, 

As many of you know, we have an annual Track meet (The Leander Spartan Invitational ) . We are in need of some equipment to help the meet be a success. The first 2 years we have borrowed the tents and equipment needed to put on the meet and keep the areas of the event shaded that required it for our athletes and volunteers. We are looking to have our own equipment which includes:

8 Tents
4 Folding Tables
1 Megaphone
4 Field Event measuring sticks
3 Relay Exchange Zone flags
1 Race Starting Flag
20 Field event distance markers
5 boxes of .32 Calibur Starting Gun blanks
4 Measuring Tapes
Containers to organize and store the equipment
...and a few other misc items.

For those team members and families that have been around for atleast 3 years you have seen the evolution of team trying to emulate our level of Track meet. I have have several teams and coaches express to me how thankful they are that someone is looking to improve what a summer track meet is. I have also been asked to assist in helping other team plan their meets. This year we have experienced a number of teams putting on higher quality track meets with fully automatic timing and pre-registration, and greater numbers.

I am asking our Spartan families and friends to bless us with their generocity and help us meet our goal to get this equipment purchased before the 2017 Spartan Invitational. Every little bit helps.
