This is Sparkbird, a 3/4 month old budgie.

When i bought Sparkbird, his leg was already swollen from his metal leg ring. I asked the breeders to remove it if they could, but instead his leg ended up being broken.

As a result of this, his foot has become semi-paralysed and has restricted blood flow. This has ultimately left amputation as one of the only options.

However, finding specialist avian vets confident enough to amputate his leg is very difficult and very pricey. As a result of this, I have set up this gofundme to hopefully cover a bit of the amputation costs, or perhaps fund for a more accessible cage for him after as well.

If amputation isn't required, all of the money raised will be spent on making his life easier with an injured leg, such as a new cage, platforms and perches, bedding, and bandages to reduce pressure sores.
