Help Me Self-Publish My 1st Book!

The time has come. I am thrilled to share with the world my dream of becoming a published children's author! This really exciting time for me! Since I was a young girl, I've always had an insatiable appetite for reading and somehow I always knew that books would be a medium for me to inspire children to embrace their individuality and love themselves unconditionally.
My children's book is titled "Sparkalina Bright's." It is a story about a vibrant, spunky, beautiful 8-year-old girl named Sparkalina. From the day she was born her parents knew she was born to shine. Growing up they let Sparkalina run wild with her imagination and she fell in love with glitter. Sparkalina puts glitter on everything in the house, including her dog Rubeez. Her entire room, known as the Glitter Castle, is completely bedazzled from the curtains to her entire closet full of clothes. But, unfortunately not everyone love sparkles as much as Sparkalina does and she gets teased. Sparkalina starts to feel like she is weird and that something maybe wrong with her. But, her mother assures her that she is beautiful and that she offers a special gift to the world. Their powerful relationship empowers Sparkalina to love her self and to always walk in her truth despite what others may think.
To give an update, the supporting text for the book is done! Now, I am currently working with the Pierce Agency in Midlothian, VA to secure an illustrator and to work on the overall design of the book. I signed a 6-month contract with the agency to assist me with the publishing of my book and it will cost $2,500. At the end of the 6 month contract my book will be available online and in hardback. In addition, I will have a manuscript submission packet to submit to major publishing houses with the hopes of breaking into the mass market. My vision is to see this book in bookstores and libraries all across the United States.
