28th December 2018 I changed my life by getting sober, in doing so I had to face my childhood trauma, ended up losing 96 lbs and reignited my love of running. I started the blog 8 months later on the recommendation of a couple of friends who thought people would be inspired by my story. Since then I have enrolled in University, ran multiple ultras, marathons and half marathons, lost my beautiful pet dog Flash to cancer, adopted the slightly bonkers but adorable doggo Ralph and discovered that I probably have ADHD which is a relief because it explains everything but it does mean the start of a new journey I was not expecting.
My blog has evolved from talking about my weight loss and journey to sobriety to talking about loss/grief, mature student life, turning 40 and now of course navigating the journey of ADHD.
I feel that my blog is helping others by reading about my journey and it's helping me, however, the domain costs money as does the website, and there is, of course, the time it takes me to both maintain the website and course write posts and sharing them on social media. This is why I have set up this gofundme, for anyone who can spare any amount of money to donate to my blog will help me continue to produce posts, and maintain and improve the website.
Thank you all.
