Space Oddity Music Club & Brew Pub is a room party that occurs annually at the MarsCon science fiction convention in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA. This is our 16th year throwing a party for all the con members! Space Oddity is operated by a group of fans who want to create a welcoming and hospitable party space for all members of the convention, especially musicians and music lovers. Here, you'll find tasty snacks, local craft beer, a signature cocktail called Purple Rain, camaraderie and conversation, and (perhaps most importantly) two nights of awesome music circles inviting musicians of all genres and experience levels to share their music with the con.

Of course, it costs money to make all of this happen. So, once again, we've launched a crowdfunding campaign to ask for the support of our fandom community. This fundraiser aims to defray the cost of room rental and bed removal, beer and liquor, food, and all the other necessities of throwing a bash for hundreds of people. But we're not asking you to give us something for nothing. As in past years, our Space Oddity backers are eligible to earn rewards at various contribution levels:

Contribute $1 and get a thank you shout-out on our social media and on the wall of our party room.

Contribute $5 and get an exclusive Space Oddity badge ribbon and a thank you.

Contribute $25 and get a custom engraved Space Oddity pint glass, plus badge ribbon and thank you. This year's pint glass design will be a recreation of one of our most popular past designs which includes lyrics from our party's theme song and namesake tune by David Bowie. If you missed out on this popular design the first time we offered it, or if your glass has been lost or broken in the intervening years, now's your chance to get one!

Contribute $50 for two pint glasses, two badge ribbons, and a thank you.

Contribute $100 and we'll stock a private stash of the snack of your choice at the party. Plus pint glass, badge ribbon, and thank you.

Contribute $150 and we'll stock a private stash of the alcoholic beverage (and mixer if needed) of your choice at the party. Plus pint glass, badge ribbon, and thank you.

(Additional note about pint glasses: Though we prefer in-person pick-up at or just after MarsCon, we can ship to you if you want a pint glass and are not local to the Twin Cities and/or won't be at MarsCon. However, if you can't pick the glass up in person, it is very helpful if you can add a little extra to your donation to help defray shipping costs. It costs us about $15 for us to ship one or two glasses via US mail.)

We need to place the order for pint glasses before the end of February to get them in time for the con, so please make your contribution before then if you want to receive one.
