Michael Otto's Medical Fund

Michael Otto was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in April 2017. He makes #8 in our lineage with this terrible disease. Unfortunately, Michael does not have health insurance. He is self-employed & the premiums are not affordable with his unpredictable income. Michael has racked up a lot of healthcare debt since this ordeal started in March with a ruptured hernia. He has had multiple complications, a few surgeries, and spent several weeks in the hospital.

Anyone who knows my brother can attest that he is one of the most genuinely nicest guys around! Michael always has a lending hand and is a hard worker. He is the main financial provider for his family and the backbone to our entire family. He is married and has 2 sons -- one in college and one about to start high school.

With Stage III colon cancer and some positive lymph nodes, Michael should have started chemotherapy earlier but was not able due to finances. Each day that passes without chemo is another day these vicious cancer cells can spread. Without insurance, each treatment will cost about $25,000 and he will need several. This does not include the medical bills that have already arrived and need to be paid.
