Rescue the Soperton dogs with Terry

A wonderful gentleman in Soperton, GA named Terry Altier will be turning 49 years old on April 26th and he is a warm, kind-hearted man who has really fallen on tough times. It doesn't particularly matter what happened or how or who is at fault, the fact is that this man is terminally ill and lives in something none of us would find hospitable. His trailer is on land next to the local dump and people dump dogs, cats, pregnant dogs, injured dog, you name it. He rescues all he can AND he does his own vetting. He is driven to save these animals and he has virtually no resources to do so. Many Angels were involved last year and donated dog houses, pens, etc... and he is so appreciative. Recently I drove down with some dog food, lunch and some clothes I picked up at Goodwill. He looked like a kid on Christmas morning and is so grateful! He wants nothing for himself, just wants to help the dogs. I think is thriving because he feels he is the only thing standing between him and these poor dumped animals. I pressed him hard to tell me what HE, himself needs and finally got him to open up. His trailer is in terrible, terrible shape. It's been flooded so he is walking on plywood. He found some linoleum at the dump and would love to get it put down inside the trailer. We really need to empty the trailer, clean it, reorganize it, put the flooring down, install a microwave, maybe put down a new counter in the kitchen and put everything back. We have a good group of (mostly women) heading down there in a few weeks but we are in need of supplies to buy the things we need to put up pens (many of the dogs are tethered), make his trailer hospitable and clean up the yard - we need mulch, pine straw, etc..  Please help us help Terry who is in turn helping these sweet pets that others choose to discard.  Any amount helps.  I will post pictures and update as work proceeds.
