The Opportunity:
The school that I attend, Charis Bible College in Jacksonville, FL, goes on international mission trips every year as part of the curriculum for its students. It is a requirement to go on a trip before you are able to graduate (I graduate May 2014). This requirement is one that I will GLADLY fulfill, though. I have felt called to missions since I was 13 years old, and though I have done U.S. missions many times before, THIS WOULD BE MY FIRST INTERNATIONAL MISSION TRIP EVER! I would love it if you could help me to be able to go on one of these trips that will be happening in the fall and spring!

I must complete one of these trips in order to graduate in May 2014!

The Goal Amount:
The costs are as low as $1550 and as high as $3000+. A passport needs to be purchased ASAP and a Visa for certain countries, as well. Down payment for Nicaragua is due on February 5, 2014. **Also, the students are not allowed to go on the trips until their tuition is current and up to date. I am several hundred dollars behind on my tuition, as it comes out of pocket every single month, so please help to donate to that fund as well. They don't call it a move by faith for nothin'! haha** I know it sounds like a lot of money in a short amount of time, with a lot of obstacles in the way but:
I have heard my whole life, "I would love to go on a mission trip, but I just don't have the money." "I would love to fulfill my dreams, but I just don't have the money." I've even been one to say it time and time again. Well, not this time. I refuse to limit God and keep Him in a box as to what He can and cannot do. "For with God, nothing is impossible"(Luke 1:37). And, "Nothing is impossible for those who believe"(Mark 9:23).
Matthew 6:3-4
But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will REWARD YOU.
The Mission:
Teaching, Preaching, Healing, Helping, and fulfilling the call that God has placed on all of our lives to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.....among other things.
I know that great things will be done for the kingdom of God through these trips, so I am believing big and all the glory be given to the Christ! I would love it to have the funds to go on at least one of the trips, and then be able to bless other people who have this same intense passion in their hearts to spread the gospel to all nations! It is our duty as Christians to preach the gospel to ALL! And to make disciples of all nations! We don't just evangelize, but we also disciple. Discipleship Evangelism. Preach the Word, TEACH the Word, emphasis on teach, and go forth in power with the Word.
Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be GIVEN TO YOU. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you IN RETURN.
The Bible tells us in 1 John that love is of God, and simply that God is love. If God is love and He lives in me then::I am love to the world. I am the light in the darkness, and so is anyone else who believes in Jesus Christ our Savior. There are dark places all throughout the world, here and there, near and far. These dark places just need light in order to not be dark anymore! They just need Jesus whether they know it or not. Jesus came to "seek and save that which is lost"(Luke 10:10). People in darkness are not always going to come to you, but you have to GO to them to find them and tell them the good news, not the bondage news, not the news of condemnation or judgment or punishment, but the GOOD NEWS which is the gospel of Jesus Christ the Savior.
You might not have been the first person God told to go to them, but you might be the first person who actually put forth the action to go and go forth in love. Show them love and teach them how to spread the message that you so love to share. They need to hear that God did not come to the world to condemn the world, but to save it, according to the book of John. Most people don't feel worthy to come to know Christ, they're simply "not ready yet" or "I have to get my life straightened out first, and then I will come to know Jesus."
Well, we're here to tell them about God's GRACE and mercy and forgiveness. Not only is He the God that forgives AND forgets all of your sins, but He heals your emotional wounds and physical sicknesses and disabilities, mends the broken hearts, provides all of your needs, gives such immense joy that it's hardly containable, and best of all, LOVES UNCONDITIONALLY! If God wasn't going to provide these opportunities for everyone, then Jesus died on the cross for nothing. Jesus came to this earth to relate to us and give us a living example of how to walk in the likeness of God, since we were created in His image, and to show us the will of God. Jesus was tempted far worse than we ever will be and yet He overcame it, and so can any believer. He wants you to overcome in this life. He will meet you where you are at, wherever that may be. He just wants to love you not condemn you. You just need to show the love of God to others through your own testimony, actions, the Word of God, and your life itself. Let God worry about changing people. I know, that's a hard concept to grasp for most, but let me say it again in caveman terms: you love, God change. Got it? Haha.
The Support:
So that's what I would like your support to do. To reach out and preach the Gospel to those that are lost, to heal those who are sick, to show the grace of God to those who feel condemned, and to love those who don't know what love is. To whomever, wherever, and however in the name of Jesus. People of this earth have voids in their lives that they try to fill with so many different things, but there is only One that can fill the voids and fill them eternally::..God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.
