My name is Michelle Green. In 2010, my husband (Ryan Green) and I became one under GOD. Team Green was established and an immediate shift began in our lives! At this point we were both been full time engineers in addition to being full time advocates for health & wellness. Ryan was a martial artist and I was a personal trainer/boot camp instructor.
The shift – although we both had always ate decently we became more aware of the downfall of the American food supply. It was becoming more and more poisonous to the human body because of chemical (i.e. pesticides) use at farms and the inundation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). In 2011, we began to eat 100% organic!
Fast forward, with the birth of each child (Ryelle in 2013 and Rylee in 2015) I learned just how important vitamins and minerals via healthy food was to the human body. Most Americans eat a lot of food but are still deficient in essential vitamins and minerals which leads to disease and illness. I sought more and more knowledge about health & wellness and began to share all I had learned but it never seemed like enough!
Fall 2015, Ryan asked the Lord where he fit in the health & wellness picture with his wife and the Lord revealed “growing our own food” to him. Skip to 2016, after the realization of just how much money the now expanded Team Green was spending eating organically, Ryan jokingly said “we need our own chickens”! Well things took off after that! (Thank you Holy Spirit!)
September 2016, I went to organic farming school! I wanted to learn how to properly grow our food, share with our family, friends and others and more importantly TEACH others what I had learned.
While in organic farming school, the Lord gave me a vision in October 2016 of the farm he wanted Team Green to start – to help others. At the same time, the Lord had told Ryan he would find the property and I would confirm. We are ONE!
January 2017 “Team Green Acres Family Farm” was officially created – no land, no, equipment, no crops, just a vision!!!
After almost a 10 month search, hoping, wishing, and praying that the next property would be “the one” - that vision finally was set forth in front of my eyes on July 20, 2017. An offer on that property was submitted and accepted THAT same day!!! GOD’s timing!
Along with that vision GOD gave Team Green a promise! HE promised that in order for us to fulfill the mission HE has for us that HE would send help! YOU all are that help!
We have a big vision because we serve a BIG GOD! Our mission isn’t just about growing food (organically). We want to share healthy food with those less fortunate; conduct health & wellness educational classes in schools, farms, and at the farm to teach others how to properly fuel GOD’s temple; deliver produce to area churches, hospitals and businesses; host produce “u-pick” Saturdays; and eventually host events (i.e. weddings, small gatherings, family reunions, etc.) at the farm.
Once we get up and running we'll need help planting, weeding, and harvesting.
First, we need help closing on the 7 acres of property GOD has designed just for us!!! It's in a rural area SW of Houston, TX.
Since the Lord laid out this mission for Team Green, we have been obedient to HIM which included my resigning from my job as a Project Manager and applying for medical school – to again TEACH others!
Of course, we both remain health & wellness advocates. However, we have our current house mortgage (it’s up for sale as we speak), we’re now on one salary and funds are tight! We also know GOD's timing is always perfect! Team Green needs $30, 000 cash to put on the table at closing.
We’re asking HIS helpers to "Sow a Seed" in the Team Green Acres Family Farm and help us to raise $16, 000 by August 31!
Here’s your chance to become a part of the solution and have a peace knowing that you’ve helped someone who needs better food choices. That someone may be you! Your donation however big or small would mean the world to Team Green but even more it would be you helping us fulfill the mission GOD has for us – to teach how to properly nourish HIS temple. Good news - Due to unforeseen circumstances our closing date has been extended to September 22nd so we have more time to reach our goal!
Great news - GOD is continuing to show his wonders and has already moved in a mighty way! The sales price of our property was lowered so we now have a goal of only $6,000 to raise for closing cost vs $16,000!
