<div>Je m’appelle Solange, et aujourd’hui, je me tourne vers vous avec le cœur ouvert, dans l’espoir de rallier votre soutien dans l’un des plus grands défis de ma vie : mon combat contre un cancer du sein.

<div>Il y a neuf ans, ma famille et moi avons quitté la Colombie pour faire du Canada notre nouveau chez nous. C’est avec une immense gratitude que nous avons été accueillis par une communauté bienveillante, qui est devenue notre nouvelle famille. Ce pays nous a offert des opportunités, une sécurité et un avenir pour nos enfants. Aujourd’hui, c’est ici que nous vivons heureux, ensemble, même si notre famille élargie se trouve loin, à des milliers de kilomètres.

<div>Je suis maman de trois enfants extraordinaires : un garçon de 8 ans, une fille de 16 ans, et un fils de 26 ans. Ensemble, nous formons un noyau soudé, solidaire et plein de vie, même face aux épreuves. Cette maladie vient bouleverser notre quotidien, mais notre espoir et notre amour demeurent intacts.

<div>Dans ma vie professionnelle, je suis Analyste d’affaires dans l’industrie de la construction chez Builthink. J’ai toujours été passionnée par mon travail et engagée à contribuer à la transformation positive des entreprises. Aujourd’hui, malgré le diagnostic, je garde la volonté de continuer à exercer mon métier autant que possible. Je suis portée par le soutien inconditionnel de mon équipe, qui m’accompagne avec empathie et respect, et me donne la force de rester active dans un environnement que j’aime profondément.

<div>Cependant, le parcours de traitement est extrêmement exigeant, sur le plan physique, émotionnel et financier. Plusieurs soins essentiels, médicaments spécialisés, suivis médicaux fréquents, soins complémentaires et frais de transport ne sont pas couverts par l’assurance. De plus, la période de convalescence nécessitera des ressources pour assurer une guérison optimale dans la dignité.

<div>My name is Solange, and today I reach out to you with an open heart, in the hope of rallying your support as I face one of the greatest challenges of my life: my battle with breast cancer.

<div>Nine years ago, my family and I left Colombia to make Canada our new home. We were welcomed with open arms by a caring community that became our extended family. This country has given us opportunities, safety, and a future for our children. Today, we live here happily together — even though our wider family remains thousands of miles away.

<div>I’m the mother of three incredible children: an 8-year-old boy, a 16-year-old daughter, and a 26-year-old son. We are a strong, close-knit, and loving unit, facing this challenge together. While this illness is turning our world upside down, our hope and love remain unshaken.

<div>Professionally, I work as a Business Analyst in the construction industry at Builthink. I’ve always been passionate about my work and committed to driving positive transformation in the companies I support. Despite this diagnosis, I remain determined to continue working as much as I can. I’m buoyed by the unconditional support of my team, who uplift me with empathy and respect, and give me the strength to stay active in a field I love deeply.

<div>However, the treatment journey is physically, emotionally, and financially demanding. Many essential treatments, specialized medications, frequent medical visits, complementary therapies, and transportation costs are not covered by insurance. In addition, the recovery period will require resources to ensure I can heal with dignity and the best possible care.
