This academic year marks the 50th year of Southwestern Randolph High School. We are asking our Cougar Community for assistance towards reaching our goal of $50,000 to purchase technology for our school. If every former student contributes $10.00, our goal can be easily met.
Starting in January 2020, the Windows 7 Operating System will no longer receive security patches/updates by Microsoft. What this means is that all computers running Windows 7 will be vulnerable to breach attacks. In our school, this affects classrooms and three computer labs of around 100 computers. Before the January deadline, these computers will be removed from our school. This situation will create a hardship for our classrooms.
SWR offers RCC on-line classes, North Carolina Virtual Public Schools, Credit Recovery and iLearn. These are unique ways our students can access curriculum not offered in a traditional setting. Along with offering expanded course offerings, all North Carolina end of course exams are online so this situation affects every student in some way.
Cougar alum, show your support for your alma mater and its up and coming Cougars! We want to continue to offer our students a 21st century education. With your generous donations, our goal can become a reality.
This campaign is organized by the Southwestern Randolph Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). Please pass this along to friends and family. Donations can be made on this page, sent to the school or dropped off in the office.
