Hello everyone,
My name is Ron Andrews. I started this fundraiser to raise money to cover fees for our Seniors (1 being my son, a captain on the team) and other teammates from Southington High School Football team to form a club and play in the Connecticut High School Independent Football League.
Football is more than just a game to these boys. They have become family since being together since 9th grade, some together even longer than that. What these boys have been taught during football is more than just playing a game. It has taught them to listen, to their coaches. It has taught them brotherhood, to their teammates. It has taught them the desire and compassion, to win.
Now imagine all that time spent together living and learning the game they love and then it being taken from them their Senior season, the year they've been working for all that time. Luckily for them they have their coaches fighting for them and still finding a way to get them their last high school football season. It's not what we all thought it would be but we're playing!
I'm asking you to donate to help offset the costs for these boys. Some kids need to purchase their own equipment to play in the independant league. Luckily some already have their own. The funds would go towards Equipment - Helmets and Shoulder Pads for those in need, Uniforms, Splash Guards, Field Fees, Referees, Trainers, Ambulance on site (to have them on site at games, but hopefully not need them) and Insurance.
