Help Southern Motion get to competition!

Hi everyone, we are Irene and Victor, directors of IV Motion LLC and Southern Motion Teams. Our adult Latin dance teams have been invited to the Las Vegas Super Congress!! We could use all the help that we can get to make it happen! We have already purchased costumes; we need flight, hotel, and pass covered. We are grateful for any help that comes our way. We need at least $20,000 to fully sponsor everybody to Vegas.

Southern Motion is a family of many paths. Some of us are ER nurses, waitstaff, UAB students, dentists, delivery truck drivers, engineers, and more. Through this sport of dance, we have had to push ourselves in more ways than we expected. It has taught us so much about ourselves and truly brought support after the not-so-distant covid days.

If we are able to reach our grand total goal and the whole trip is covered, we will put the additional proceeds towards funds for opening a home studio of our own.

IV Motion's mission is to provide access to the arts for adults in an adult-friendly environment, including those who never had the chance to attend dance lessons as a child, former athletes looking for a new form of movement, current athletes looking to improve their footwork, and singles and couples looking to benefit from the therapeutic elements of dance. Dance serves as a physical, mental, and emotional outlet for many; unfortunately, spaces for this outlet are often challenging to find in Birmingham.

While IV Motion has operated for 4 years in rental spaces, our loyal clientele and regular stream of new students have proven there is a desperate need for a more permanent space. Our company is looking to one day purchase a building to transform into a dance studio. But at the moment, we are willing to start out by leasing space. In addition to leasing a physical space, other needed renovation materials include appropriate flooring, floor-length mirrors, sound systems, soundproofing, and marketing materials. So the additional $10K is to put towards our studio.

Our community's interest and need for dance continue to grow, and IV Motion aspires to provide a safe space to promote self-expression, inspiration, motivation, and wellness.
