South Park Aviaries

Hi Everyone. 

For those who don’t know me, my name is Katie, and I have recently began volunteering in the aviaries at South Park, trying to improve the enrichment, diet, and presentation of the birds. I have a great passion for parrots and birds, and would love to see the aviaries bursting with new toys, plant life, and perches. As much as myself and many other people at South Park would love to see this, money is a big issue. Parrots are unfortunately not easy to care for, and their upkeep and maintenance is costly. They are very sensitive animals that need very particular care. The replacement of the old enrichment, along with hopefully an improvement in other areas such as diet, is not cheap, and the council do not help us with funds, and it is entirely funded by the public and the Friends of South Park. It is my mission to improve these birds lives, and their environment, so any donations to their care would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
