South Florida Musicians Relief Fund Covid-19

Donation protected
The donations collected for the South Florida Musicians Relief Fund Covid-19 will be used to help gig musical artists. bands, groups, singers, and performers struggling to get through these tough times. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 20-91 on April 1, 2020 outlining a stay-at-home policy for Floridians. He signed his first COVID-19 order on March 1st, 2020 and since has drafted and signed approximately 40 executive orders to combat the spread of COVID-19. On March 20th, Governor DeSantis placed a prohibition on almost all elective medical procedures. South Florida musicians found themselves impacted by the new coronavirus as it shuttered the entertainment and restaurant businesses, and stalled payments. Other freelancers such as wedding industry vendors saw their ability to work rapidly decline during the pandemic, sending them into their homes to hopefully outlast COVID-19 financially. Musician's rights and benefits — including healthcare and access to unemployment — have become key topics debated by regulators in the United States as they work to figure out how to provide support. Musicians are weathering COVID-19 differently, with some struggling to find any kind of work.

Any donations will help buy time for the families and children of these "starving artists." The stories are numerous and I've worked with many of these artists. With your help, I'm hoping I can do more to keep them productive and hopeful.
