South Australia has a number of world class athletes representing Australia in the Para World Athletics
Championships in September. Athletics Australia pays for the athletes to attend the games, but there is no
funding for support crew - their coaches and family.
For these young athletes to perform at their best, their support crew is crucial for their mental and physical
preparation when competing at the highest level. These athletes have fought hard throughout their lives, for
equal opportunity, managing their disability and training everyday to be the best athletes they can be.
We want to make their fight on the track in New Delhi a little easier, by raising funds through sponsorship,
which will allow their support crews to join them, giving them the best chance of success.
We are trying to help 3 young athletes perform at their best:
Angus Hincksman is a T38 1500m runner who won a bronze at the 2023 World Championships.
Akeesha Snowden is a T37 sprinter who will be going to her first World Championships.
Jack Netting is a T35 sprinter and long jumper who will be going to his first World Championships.
