<div>Throughout the pandemic, we have and will continue to provide meals to-go for our guests at Soup Angels. Our numbers have more than doubled every Monday and Wednesday—from approximately 100 to over 200 meals per night—and we are greatly in need of your help.

<div>As our guests walk through the building, they pick up hot, freshly prepared meals plus groceries from local stores. Packaging the hot meals in reusable containers and paper bags continues to consume more than 40% of our weekly budget.<br /><br />On top of that, Soup Angels is one of the only agencies in Rockland County that distributes fresh groceries from our food pantry, and our aging second-hand fridges and freezers cannot last much longer with the 15,000 pounds of food we receive each month. We face unforeseen expenses, and we work hard to keep pace with an ever-increasing number of guests, particularly families with children.<br /><br /><strong>$15,000 Thanksgiving Matching Grant</strong><br /> <br />If we can raise $15,000, an anonymous donor will match this amount dollar for dollar! That means that for every dollar you give, you help us raise two! With these contributions, we will be able to pay for repair and replacement of our appliances and offer food to over 2,000 people per month.<br /> <br />Please donate and share our campaign with your friends, neighbors, community members and colleagues. Among our guests are elderly persons seeking a meal and companionship, the working poor and their families, and those who are homeless. An all-volunteer, non-denominational group of service-minded individuals, Soup Angels operates under the auspices of First Reformed Church and depends on the support of our community.
