Sounds Of Summer Sizzle Reel

Donation protected
Hey everyone! I have something amazing in the works and I want to share this with you because this is about to change the world of entertainment and you can help be apart of the movement. This will be broken into two parts, the STORY and YOU.

STORY: It was my sophomore going into junior year at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. I was back home in my home town of Santa Cruz, CA. I just got done playing beach volleyball at main beach next to The Boardwalk, hopped in my car, and took a nice drive along West Cliff Drive.  As I was passing the lighthouse and also one of Santa Cruz's most popular surfing locations, "California Girls" by The Beach Boys began to play on the radio. Instantly a lightning bolt struck me... I need to write The Beach Boys Musical.

Sounds Of Summer is not about The Beach Boys themselves - it's an original storyline  using their music so I could utilize characters such as "Barbara Ann" and "Rhonda."

It is now 2017. An idea that has turned into a full on musical now has legs and it is moving at a high rate of speed. Both Brian Wilson's manager, Jean Sievers, and Mike Love's manager, Elliot Lott, have the musical in their possession. Mr. Lott kindly introduced me to the President of The Beach Boys Record Label, Brothers Records Inc, Mr. Jerry Schilling ( Jerry Schilling is a veteran music industry professional, best known for his association with Elvis Presley since 1954. He managed the Beach Boys for over 10 years, Jerry Lee Lewis and Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie). Mr. Schilling is willing to take a meeting with me about Sounds Of Summer!!! For this meeting I need big time Hollywood investors on board to sit down with me at the table - and in order for that to happen I need to finish my "Sounds Of Summer package." (Business plan, marketing stategies, etc.)

YOU: This is where I need your help. The last part of the package is what is known as a sizzle reel. A sizzle reel is essentially a visual representation of what Sounds Of Summer would look like on screen, a "glorified teaser trailer" if you will. This is the cherry on top of the package which is needed to gain the big investors on board so I can take that meeting.

I am looking to raise $2,500 ASAP. We are shooting September 5th in Malibu at Leo Carrillo State Beach.
Your money will help for the following:

1. Permits. - These are not cheap. LA loves to make it hard  for the starving artist to film in really awesome locations.
2. Costuming. - This is a period piece, 1960's-1970's to be exact. I have to go out and get period piece swimsuits for the entireity of the cast (around 20 - 30 people).
3. Props. - Surfboards, towels, beach balls, etc.
4. Cast and Crew: The Sounds Of Summer family whom have gravitated around this project are all doing this for free on their own time. I have no words but endless streams of "Thank you's" because being a starving artist here in Los Angeles is as tough as you think it is. I would like to pay the people involved for helping my dream come true!
5. Food and drink. - It is a common practice to have actors and crew happy throughout the shoot. A full belly and hydrated body will keep them pumped up giving me their best performance for the shoot.

What do you get out of this?
Remember those "Big time Hollywood" investors I was talking about? I have those people wanting to take those preliminary meetings with me before the big one with Mr. Schilling. When this gets made and enters into theatres, I promise each and every one of you if you donate to the Sounds Of Summer Sizzle Reel -  I will get you red carpet passes and tickets to the premier located here in Los Angeles. After the premier, there will be an after party at a location in Beverly Hills which you will all be able to attend. And yes, open bar.

FINAL NOTE
: That same summer I began writing Sounds Of Summer, I was also a camp counsler at my old elementary school working a summer job. We had a music appreciation day for the kids (1st to 8th grade). I sat down the group and asked, "Who here has heard of the song 'California Girls'?" The class rasied their hands with excitement. I then asked the follow up question... "Who wrote that song?" The class yelled back to me, "Katy Perry!"

...

No disrespect to Ms. Perry... but really?! How could one of the most influential Rock n Roll bands who defined Surfing and California music, just fade away into the history books? I never knew who Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were until I saw Jersey Boys - now, I have all their music on my phone and know all their songs by heart. Sounds Of Summer is The Beach Boys Musical the World has been waiting for. You can be apart of history, I cannot do this alone.

God Only Knows What I'd Be Without You.
