Sound Healing Training for Tian!

THE STORY

Hey guys!

We're 1 month away from Tian's 33rd birthday on September 17. This year, I'm trying to help Tian complete her Sound Healing Training.

Tian's explorations into music, yoga, and plant medicine, have unexpectedly set the stage for her to enter the world of sound healing.

Her early work at MTV Asia, Positive Psychology Centre, and Brahm Centre exposed her to the music industry, positive psychology, and practical mindfulness. 

With amazingly talented co-creators, she created the Ukulele Girls (thank you to those who helped fund her album, Love On The Equator!) and co-creating The Jukuleles with Wan, Zi, and Farhan, who have rocked the socks of thousands of people in Singapore and Asia.

In 2016, Tian felt a calling towards acroyoga, and she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, with a focus on Peruvian Shamanic Healing. (Thank you to those who helped fund her yoga teacher training!)

If you've ever been to one of Tian's yoga classes, then you will understand how attuned she is to her students. She's taught acroyoga to couples, children, and even aunties!

I have observed Tian participating in  sound healing experiences around the world. 

From sacred songs in the Peruvian Amazon, to sound domes in Burning Man and gong baths in New York, to Overtone vocal coaching in India, a Savasana Sound Concert in Amsterdam, to therapeutic soundscapes at Boom Festival in Portugal... and she's formed her own ideas on how to incorporate elements into her own sound healing experiences.

While we were living in Brooklyn last year, our friend Sam bequeathed to Tian a beautiful Tibetan singing bowl. Then, at our friend's wedding in Nepal, the bride gifted Tian a Nepali singing bowl. In January, our beloved polymath friend, Josh, gifted Tian a stunningly resonant crystal singing bowl. 

As if that wasn't enough synchronicity, Tian spontaneously joined a Sound Healing Training facilitated by SVARAM in Auroville, while we were living there earlier this year. Tian completed Module 1, learning the basics of sound healing...

So, what's next on Tian's sound healing journey? 

Tian thinks she 'needs' certification to practice sound healing. While I disagree, I believe that if she completes a credible sound healing training (grounded in the science of sound healing), then she will feel more confident in sharing her unique gifts with people and the world.
